EXPERIENCE
Deaf Studies Intern - Fall 2017
My position during my fall internship was Workshop Coordinator. As such, it was my responsibility to research interpreting and Deaf culture topics that would benefit students of the profession to learn more about. Furthermore, I would recruit qualified candidates to provide weekly workshops on such topics. All workshops were given in American Sign Language. As the hostess of these weekly workshops, I was in charge of all the advertising, refreshments, and the live filming of each workshop for those who could not attend at the given time. Each workshop provided for mingling opportunities during or after the event for students to practice and enhance their signing abilities.
Utah Interpreter Program - Fall 2016
I successfully passed the Utah Interpreter Knowledge Exam. This is the first step in becoming certified as an interpreter inin the state of Utah
